Buckfast Abbey

A spectacular abbey church and monastery that is home to a community of Benedictine monks. With beautiful, serene grounds, shops and a restaurant, admission is free and dogs are welcome.

South Devon Railway 

Take a nostalgic steam train ride alongside the River Dart between Buckfastleigh and Totnes, and enjoy some of the most stunning Devon scenery. Dining experiences can also be booked.

Ashburton 

With its independent food scene and many dealers of antiques, art and unique homewares, Ashburton is the largest settlement within Dartmoor National Park. It is also the only town in the UK where the ancient Saxon office of Portreeve—dating back to 820 AD—is still held by an Act of Parliament and locals still observe centuries-old traditions such as the Ale Tasting and Bread Weighing Ceremony. 

Dartmouth

Historic natural harbour town with fabulous shops and restaurants, medieval heritage, and stunning natural scenery. One of the UK’s most popular yachting destinations and home to the Britannia Royal Naval College.

Totnes

Vibrant, medieval market town, known for its bohemian lifestyle, eco-conscious culture, and for rejecting chain stores in favour of ethical independents. Recently named Best Market Town in Devon and home of The Bull, award-winning organic gastro-pub.
